Nitey Night Cookies

This is a recipe I found a few years ago.  I enjoy making these on Christmas Eve night.  You place them in a preheated oven, turn the oven off, go to sleep, and they are ready in the morning.  These are GREAT to do with kids (although, I did these even before we had our daughter).   These would also be great the night before your child's birthday.  Make the cookies with them right before their bedtime, then tell them when they get up in the morning it will be their birthday and their cookies will be ready!

I got this recipe from AllRecipes.  If you'd like to see the original post, click here.

Nitey Night Cookies

2 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup chocolate chips

1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.) Beat eggs until fluffy.  Gradually add sugar.  Beat until stiff.  Stir in nuts.
3.) Drop by spoonfuls onto foil-lined pan.
4.) Put in oven, close door, turn oven OFF.
DON'T OPEN 'TIL MORNING!
